okay,
i am not sure why after five years, but, does any body have the fruit loops decipher code on what the h*ll the mimaki is saying while its printing?
chirp!-chirp!
chirp!
beep beep beep !
chirp-chirp
chirp!

totally random order, too.

LOL! The beeping means the heaters have gotten up to the proper temp. That is why it seems so random. You have 3 heaters going up to different temps and it beeps every time one of them does. There is no way to turn it off from what I have found.

It also beeps when a cartridge is low or about to expire or if you only run 4 cartridges instead of 8.
