System requirements - VP 540

Good Morning,

The new VP 540 is on the way and I wanted to check here regarding system requirements to push it. I read somewhere once before that it would work better with windows xp than vista. Is this correct? It is a brand new machine with a dealer install. I need to buy a new computer as well so any advice is appreciated.

I am running vista 64bit, Photoshop CS4, Illustrator and versawork's, All fine.

Nice to have 8 gigs of memory.
