TecJet 5500 Plotter?

I saw a local ad for a cheap plotter, but didn't know if it would be useful for anything or the quality of its prints. It is a CalComp TecJet 5500, bought from an auction from a blueprint shop. truns on with no error messages but owner has no software to drive it. He is asking $100 for it.

Is it worth purchasing at all or just walk on by?
