Testing New Stocks

I recently purchased a Roland EcoSol wide format printer. I rang aroud all the media suppliers to get samples of their self adhesive vinyl stocks.

As well as print quality, I'l interested in ease of application for the adhesive medias.

I'm wondering what you guys do to test new stocks?

i actually apply samples of the material to the substrate its designed for. i have samples of wall paper and wall mural material on my office wall right now. and on my car i have a new piece of wrap material to see how well it conforms to the curves.
