This is how not to service lit signs, if you do not know anything about electric signs do not post any comments because it may make you look as smart as this guy.
I thought I had seen it all. All that was wrong with this sign is one unit of neon was bad. I will give this genius credt for not removing or breaking the other units although he did nab the transformer.
Service call 3 hours @ 95hr, $285
1 transformer $125
1 unit glass $60.00
1 3'x3' face $225
Total $695 Removed all the flourescent bulbs and tinfoil....yeah tinfoil!
I would think each of those lamps were $7-$10 plus whatever he charged the guy.
The bright side ..........I have a new customer and profit to boot.
