Thinking about buying a PNC 5000

I was thinking about buying a PNC 5000 locally because the price is right. Is this unit still supported by Roland? If it breaks can I get it repaired? Are catridges readily available? Can anyone tell me what the print quality is like?

Or since this is older technology, should I not bother?

:thankyou:

If you're referring to the old thermal resin printer-cutter, I would advise against it. Roland no longer supports it. More importantly, they no longer make the resin cartridges for it, and ZeroNine has also discontinued production for all Roland ColorCamm cartridges. So you will have a tough time getting supplies to keep it running.
If you must buy a used printer, you would be better off getting an ecosolvent machine like a Falcon Outdoor or VersaCamm.
