Thunderbird?

Well I use thunderbird and Firefox like many people. Well I know Firefox has the Foxmarks add ons which works really well between my lap top and desktop. I was wondering if there as something similar for Thunderbird, so if I update one contact or if I add a task or event on one it will be updated else where. Has anyone heard of something like this before?
