we prep the garden with "cotton seed meal." there is a cotton mill in atmore, al. and i have a friend who brings me a dump trailer load before we plant. this is the waste from cotton processing. when he brought the load it was steaming, from its composting effect. i have tried 2-3 year old chicken poo, and other oraganic soil enhancers, but none work as well as this stuff.
