Anybody using the JVV 440 cartridges? I've read they had a problem with the tabs not triggering the out of ink mechanism. Supposedly this was resolved with new generation of cartridges. Is there a way to visibly differentiate the new from the old. Advantage Sign is having a liquidation sale on JVV 440 @ $49.00 each on CMYK. I was told it was due to lack of demand. I'm leery to buy suspecting they may be old stock with the tab problem. Any thoughts or advice?

The problematic cartridges were opaque white. The newer fixed cartrdiges are still white but much less opaque (still cannot see through or into it or anything) but it has a definite translucent quality to it. Tough to tell unless you have them side by side. Still tough to photograph. The newer one is the lower of these 2.
