I prefer the 50/50's as well. Either Port and Co or Jerzee have been my favorites.
As for the sweatshirts, depends on what weight you are looking for. Beimar makes a great sweatshirt. Hanes F170, and Monster are great, but pricey as they are a heavy weight, but they don't shrink too bad.
Performance t's are my favorite all year round, that is all I wear for my company shirts.
