UCJV300 Problem Magenta

Hello, I'm having a big problem with my Magenta printhead. I've already performed all the cleaning steps according to the instructions, but it hasn't helped. Is there any other way to get the printhead working again?

The printer hasn't been used for two weeks because we were on vacation.

Thanks for any advice!

Do a nozzle wash (NOT disway wash) and see if that helps. If not, run an air purge. The magenta channel is typically 1/4 of head 1 that handles CMYK in most ink sets, so it isn't separate.

I allready did a nozzle wash for 60 minutes and a second over night.

I think there’s hard ink on the surface of the nozzle.

I try an air purge. Is there anything special to consider?

Overnight nozzle washes are risky, and anything over 20 minutes with maintenance fluid 16 is a very bad idea. That stuff is monstrously aggressive. Use #16 on a texwipe and gently wipe down the nozzle plate. Wear gloves, and use a fresh bit of the cloth with every wipe to avoid grinding gunk into the nozzles. You will need to run a cleaning cycle or two after this to re-prime the head.

16 is the newer, much stronger fluid. Be careful though if you leave it a day or two it can even eat tubing.
