Hello, I recently picked up a Roland Truevis VG3-540 and have installed Versaworks 7 on a windows 11 computer. When I go to add the printer it automatically pics up the IP address serial number and machine. But when I choose that printer and hit register it comes up with the phrase (Device not found or status not acquired correctly from the device)..... I am not sure what is going on?? Any help would be great!

Yes VersaWorks 7 is very bad, lots of bugs.... need one year or two of debuging, and because i 'am not working for Roland, it's not my job to debug Roland Printers.... (and it's the same with the android touch screen on my VG3 lot of freeze need restart the printer twice a day...)

USE Versaworks 6 but i think The VG3 is my last roland printers (I have Used VP540 VS540 VS640 VG640 VG3640...)

I just read today in Roland DG Connect that there will be no further updates for VW6.
I haven't heard much if anything good about VW7 as yet - is it reliable yet? They've had a couple of years to get it right now.

no i have tested it last version the last week for 16bit rastering mode but i have ripped two job and i have hit one return to windows desktop during the rip....

First off it hasn’t even been six months since it has been out. It came out earlier this year. It does work fine.
You do have to license your printers with the DG Connect Hub, locally installed, and the automatic version has not been working very well. The manual license seems to work just fine.

I've used VW7 since it was released and have had no issues at all. I definitely prefer it over VW6. I keep my firmware upto date on my VG3540 and have downloaded any updates for VW. I'm using windows 11. Maybe talk to your Roland tech to see if they can help you.
