What is the name of the font that was used on the old Van Brunt seedmdrills?

That is not a font nor typeface.
You might get close or be able to create a 1/2 arssed facsimile using one or more of the following...

Buchhorn
Conestoga
Maverick's Luck ...Fill Regular
Miss Scarlett Plain
Railhead ...Fill
Taqueria Open ...Fill
IFC RAil Road

...otherwise, you'll need to resort to some creative mask, trace and hand-cut techniques.
