We're looking for a Wide Format Technician, basically a RIP to installation position to support the inplant wide format needs at the Rocket family of companies.
Full time, full benefits, plenty of perks.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience in the print industry
  • Intermediate understanding of all equipment, technology and processes used for daily production

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in the print industry
  • 1 year of experience in the wide-format print industry
  • Digital Press Operator certificate
  • 3M certification
  • Ability to maneuver heavy carts
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Job Summary

As a Wide Format Print Technician, you'll complete print requests, prioritize print production schedules, coordinate mail deliveries, ensure quality and operate and maintain printing equipment.


Responsibilities

  • Perform prepress production of wide-format print jobs, including file manipulation, color calibration, job setup and the use of various raster image processor (RIP) software
  • Select the appropriate media and substrates to best serve any given project
  • Consult with clients on the specific needs of a project
  • Print, cut, laminate and mount large-format print jobs using various industry-standard tools and techniques
  • Fabricate signage
  • Prepare finished product for pickup, delivery or installation
  • Install and remove a variety of wide-format media, including vinyl wall graphics, event signage, banners, mounted materials, window frosting, floor graphics, vehicle wraps, etc.
  • Maintain environmental graphics throughout numerous buildings
  • Develop concepts for various types and mediums of wide-format print
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance/troubleshooting on printing and finishing equipment
  • Maintain inventory of print materials and supplies
