Window Perf Install Issue

Hi guys, new to installing window perf. My first attempt at installing the graphic left the message running along a rainbow like shape, instead of square, and I'm wondering if I am supposed to account for the curvature of the back window in the design? How can I adjust for this so that the graphic reads level?

So, I used the Illustrator>Effect>Warp>Arch effect to try and account for it with a 10% distortion. Does anyone have a range that they use or how they compensate for the natural curvature of a back window?

Depends on the vehicle, most windows have a different curve then others. I will normally use a upward curve that is 1/2" to 1" from the bottom of the center to the edge of the graphic.
