This is what i always do, even if its just two parts. The control freak in me just doesn't trust automation.

So i just got this strange effect: When i cut on my Summa S2 T 140 through Summa Winplot everything is just perfect. But when i use Summa Cutter Control for i-cutting it "overcuts"? (not sure what to call it) These letters are 7 mm high (0.27 inches) I have no clue as to where to start looking...

We bought it used and didn't get anything like that. I talked to the company that sold it to us, and they will send a service pack. :)

I use PGM Rolltex 370 with the profile "HP high qualty satin canvas" on my HP 310. sometimes i get a little wrinkling, but it goes away in a day.

Someone once told me they took a piece the glass of yellow sunglasses and taped over the light/lens of the cutter when they had the same problem. If thats a load of bovine droppings or if it really works... I don't know

I use Oracle 5600 fleet grade white reflective, and yes, gloss laminate.

I used my regular vinyl profile in the pictures i posted. It reflects plenty, albeit with less color.

I use a HP 310 Latex and it prints very well on reflective. And I have had the same result on an Epson 40600. In the picture the blue text and arrows are cut in Orafol blue reflective, and the IAL logo is printed on Orafol White.

It looks as there are some places where the vinyl can be tiled naturally, so I dont see the point of one long piece.

Another vote for 8510. I tried a lot of etched vinyls and its by far the best/easiest to install. I use my ordinary vinyl profile on my HP310.

I never gotten tips in money. But it happens pretty often that if i install something in a bakery i get bread, candy from a candy store and so on. Maybe they just see me as a an easy way of getting rid of old stuff :D

I had the exact same thing for almost twenty years in a big company. Then my son in law, who lives in a small town and had referred jobs to me for years, bought equipment and hired me asa a one man graphics shop. Now "need" always outweigh "want" and my love for my occupation has bloomed again.

I have one that is a little bigger, but the same principle as yours. But i only print about 150 meters of banner per year. My last workplace had an pretty cheap italian pneumatic press and it was much easier. When it worked... Grommets got stuck in the feeding system, the lower part sometimes...

Orafol has both cast and calendered. 8800 and 8500 series
