  1. UCJV300 A/B DTF, does it work?

I believe UV DTF inks are formulated differently from standard UV inks. I believe they cure a little bit harder. Does anyone have any thoughts on how actual UV DTF inks would run through this printer?
  2. Roll to Roll UV Printer Purchase

We've got the UCJV300 and it's a pretty great machine. The few downsides are how slow it is. In my opinion, it's how slow all the functions are in between printing that drive me nuts. The clear printing is great. You can print it in the same pass, you just have to know what settings to use. If...
  3. Can you speed up UCJV300 where there is no data?

Thanks, but the logical seek just makes the print head only travel as far as it's printing rather than travelling the whole width of the bed on every stroke. It doesn't affect the feed in any way.
  4. Can you speed up UCJV300 where there is no data?

I've been printing some large images on my UCJV300 where there are large spans with no ink being laid down but the machine only advances the media as fast as it would if it were laying down ink. I'm printing in 600x1200 or 1200x1200 so this is pretty slow considering that it could just quickly...
  5. AWT equipment dealer?

Yes, this is Graphic Parts International.
  6. UV Transfers Onto Wood With PET Film

Very helpful, thanks. Have you, by chance, tried the LH-100 inks from Mimaki or is your UCJV still on warranty? I ask because it's a rigid ink as well. Like you said, who knows if the gloss goes up as the stretch goes down, but I'm just trying to eliminate as many variables as I can. Does the...
  7. UV Transfers Onto Wood With PET Film

Good to know! Just to clarify, are you running these rigid inks on your Mimaki or do you only print this type of thing on your Roland?
  8. UV Transfers Onto Wood With PET Film

It's a method typically used for printing skateboards. The image is printed onto PET film, and adhesive is printed onto the back, and it's then heat transferred onto the board with a specialty heat transfer machine. Traditionally, most of the images were screen printed, but now there are a lot...
  9. UV Transfers Onto Wood With PET Film

No it wouldn't be the film because if we only screen print onto it, we get a nice glossy print. If we UV print, the gloss is not as nice. And no, we are not looking to do DTF UV. This is a different process.
  10. UV Transfers Onto Wood With PET Film

Quite certain. If not the same unit, definitely another UV printer. Yes, we have clear ink channels.
  11. UV Transfers Onto Wood With PET Film

No, they are extremely glossy right from the peel of the PET.
  12. UV Transfers Onto Wood With PET Film

Our shop has a UCJV300 and we are trying to master a method of heat transfer onto wood. The image is printed onto a PET film, and then an adhesive layer is screen printed onto the back. The image can then be heat-transfered onto wood and the PET film peeled away. We have had great success with...
