Collin County has yet to do anything, they've been too lax about everything. Tarrant should announce soon
Really, all the counties in the DFW area, covering over 7.3 million residents, need to go into lock-down mode. The counties surrounding Dallas and Tarrant counties (Johnson, Ellis, Parker, Wise, Denton, Collin, Rockwall, Hunt & Kaufman) all should be doing the same as Dallas county. It would be even better if the Texas state government made it a state-wide thing. Texas is a gigantic state with a lot of wide open spaces. But it has sprawling cities that are impressive on a global scale. DFW has a giant population. Houston metro has over 6 million residents. The Austin-San Antonio region is home to over 5 million.
Up here in Oklahoma the situation is hardly any better. None of the cities in OK are on lock-down where only "essential" workers can go to their place of work. We don't even have a state-wide directive on policy. Every city and town is making up their own rules.
Here in Lawton we're trying to be more proactive about it. No businesses that can potentially host crowds of 10 or more customers are allowed to be open. Dine-in service is banned in all restaurants. Goodyear operates one of the world's largest tire production factories West of Lawton. That plant is closed. All our schools are closed. Tribes have pretty much shut down all the casinos in the state. We're not in total lock-down mode, but we're only a couple steps away from it.
