  1. Dig or Cut

Hi Everyone, I have a quick question. A 3rd party sign company has asked us to remove a small 8' ground cabinet at a local car dealership. My crew isn't trained to use torches, so we have the choice between cutting this down with a reciprocating saw and/or grinders or digging up 6" of asphalt...
  2. Grommet Press for Smaller Shop Techs

That's very cool. $1k is a pretty big bite, but could we worth it for the volume we produce. Thanks for showing me this one.
  3. Grommet Press for Smaller Shop Techs

This looks like our model. We have 3-4 staff that don't have the strength/weight necessary to operate it. Could probably use a new die and spring. That could be the issue. At that point, maybe just a entirely new unit is the best option and we can keep the old one as a second.
  4. Grommet Press for Smaller Shop Techs

Hi Everyone. We have a pretty standard grommet press that was probably bought 30 years ago when the business started. I was wondering if anyone has found a press that is easier for smaller folk. We have a handful of guys that can easily use our press, but they are usually called away for more...
  5. Installation Over Water

The replacements will have a slightly wider footprint, but basically the same. Just formed plastic Gemini letters with threaded posts.
  6. Installation Over Water

That's some next level sign making!
  7. Installation Over Water

That is some pretty crazy stuff.
  8. Installation Over Water

I would love to and I agree that this would be an easy pass if we hadn't already done $60k worth of work with them last year, with at least that much expected this year. And the guys at the shop are already talking about wearing their Spiderman pajamas when they go out on this one.
  9. Installation Over Water

Thanks. I'll look into it. I assume the rental company would come and set everything up, but I wonder if it would cover the entire width of the project? Totally unfamiliar to me, but I'll see what I can dig up. Not sure how limited this resource is in Vermont.
  10. Installation Over Water

Hi all. I am hoping someone out there can give me some advice on how to plan a removal/installation of posted letters over a very active river. I contacted the window washing company that has rigs setup to see if we could contract them, but no luck. We have done a total rebrand of all exterior...
  11. Retractable Banner Stand PET Wrinkling After Curing

We switched to Epson resin printers a little over a year ago and a few materials did need some extra calibration and this was one of them. Similar issue mentioned earlier. Either too hot and wrinkled or not hot enough and not cured fully. The print manager was able to get the passes, temp and...
  12. Retractable Banner Stand PET Wrinkling After Curing

Hi everyone and thank you in advance for your advice. I have been in this business for 10 years and this site has been a great resource throughout the years. We recently produced and replaced (5) large PET banner stand graphics. The panels came off the printer looking great, cured overnight and...
  13. 3rd Party LED and Power Supply Testing

    That sounds about right.
  14. 3rd Party LED and Power Supply Testing

Ha, the names are great. The extension cord method works fine. I just didn't know if anyone used any equipment that both lit the LEDs and tested the amperage/power levels.
  15. 3rd Party LED and Power Supply Testing

This is the technique we have used in the past. Didn't know if there was a more standard practice out there.
