One offs and short runs are typically printed on a specific UV printer. The new DOT standard reflective made by 3M is a screen or UV printable material only. We just print on clear/contour cut and mount. Not technically correct but it works....

Have you actually created a cut line under either effects> contour cut or converted a line under arrange contour cut make? You can also do >select by attributes and look under stroke. There should be a stroke named Contour Cut.
Also, as an aside, This must be a bug. I have a 250GB HD (not a partition) that is basically empty and I get the same message on occasion. This drive is dedicated as a scratch disk and I don't keep but a couple of Ripped files there at any time.

I know under Cutter driver options in PM there is a "before job" tab and down at the bottom you can see the codes that are sent to the cutter. I seem to remember that you can add codes somehow to that line. I believe that you just need the correct code..
