That's interesting as I wondered about how exposed the rolled media was on the back of the machine - will try this.

We have had fans on when it is hot but what is really puzzling is the way it goes in a band across the media. I could understand dust hickies etc. but this seems uniform. Maybe dust gathers on the top of the roll as it is sitting in the back of the machine? We have had to bite the bullet and...

Well this was unexpected. Different brand of gloss white SAV and a very similar issue. Again running right across the media. Could this be a problem with the machine or am I doing something wrong? :(

The supplier has agreed to take the roll back to test.

Hi all, could anyone offer advice on what is causing this? I'm running a Roland VG-540 with TrueVis TR2 inks. This happens at random times and then carries on fine afterwards. Could it be faulty media? Looks like some kind of contamination but it runs right across the media. Would be grateful...
