Have you tested the switch connections just to make sure? If the switch is definitely ok then the board would be the next step. If you want to DM me with your location I can let you know the price and details
With printer B did you see an actual test print from that printer? That damage to the head hasn't just happened, the seller would have known that was there. I have heard of sellers who will photograph a test print from another printer and pretend it is from the one they are selling! Did you...
Replace the pump it is faulty. When this happens the printed doesnt actually pump out the ink. The pump doesnt seal properly and syphons the ink out, normally overnight! Then the waste bottle fills and you end up with a big puddle under the printer
If its not for the white and metallic I don't think it has the recirculating ones as you don't need to circulate the normal inks. If you trace the pipes back from the dampers it should lead you to where the pumps are on yours, and using the XC540E manual should be able to see how to get to them
Yep the general lifespan is 'until it breaks'. There are so many factors that can effect it, and also just random faliure the shot count is pretty meaningless
Replace the captop. Check the ink lines to the pump are all clear including any connectors.. Run a couple of powerful cleans and see how it is then. It sounds like the printer just needs a good service
Yep power supply will be fine for those. If you are going to be running the fans all day I would personally get a couple of those supplies and run one fan off each just so they aren't pushed as hard and they will last longer
You can also then check the connections on the heater control board to see if voltage is coming from that to the heater power board. If it is but nothing is coming out to the fans then the power board is the problem
