  1. Suggestions Next step for a grommet machine

    Also, for what it's worth - Grimco.com has the semi-autos on clearance - like $260 I think.
  2. Suggestions Next step for a grommet machine

I have three of the semi-auto ones - love them. Only thing is you can't overload with too many grommets as they will jam. Also, sometimes a grommet get turned around and causes the rest of the bin to stop. Hard part...getting replacement grommets - usually find on Amazon in packs of 500.
  3. HP Wide Format 54 Plotter/Cutter

A little progress - Did a few calibrations and machine reads most registration marks all of the time - still finicky sometimes, but can get by. Have noticed that I cannot run more than 10 feet or so of cuts or it tends to skew off. Barcode reading no longer works - have tried everything there...
  4. Installing 9.1 in windows 11

I hope this comes through - if not, send me an email and I will forward. I just looked at my email and got an "update" from Fiery about what I think you are talking about. Update Digital Factory & SignLab to Avoid Licensing Issues External Inbox Search for all messages with label Inbox...
  5. Your recommendations...

Will be printing images to hang on walls of gymasium in a high school. Which product(s) do you recommend for quality and long lasting on painted block walls? I am thinking cast is best way to go because it would allow me to heat apply into the mortar joints and help stop the prying fingers...
  6. Polyester Print Media

I use Phototex EXS and LOVE IT! It has a "fabric" feel to it, doesn't tear and applies as easy as buttering a hot biscuit. Plus, it's removeable and repositionable. Price is steep, but quality.
  7. In need of 48" banner rolls

My Grimco supplier says they're not able to do this any longer. Says its been years since they've done it.
  8. Anyone know this font?

    Try Corelone Looks very similar.
  9. No Hem Banner

Same here - but have also used 9oz Duratex for senior banners and never hem - last the whole year outside on a fence.

  11. Flexi Help-Rip and Print Issues

Well I'll be...bamboozled again! Was never even told they have a "permanent license!" That would alleviate a lot of problems since they don't take purchase orders and my district won't use the credit card unless it's an emergency.
  12. Flexi Help-Rip and Print Issues

I just updated my Flexi and was told the "HP Edition" is no longer an option - have been using it since 2019. Flexi told me I had to go up at this point. Hmmm. Like another poster said, call Flexi and let them work it out for you.
  13. Pressing issue

I've always dye subbed at 400 degrees for 45 seconds and have to use a cover sheet to prevent ghosting (color bleed). Not sure what you mean by tacky paper, but if pressing vinyl or DTF, then a texture paper would be used to finish, but never use a texture paper for dye sub - cover sheet just...
  14. HP Wide Format 54 Plotter/Cutter

Anyone have experience with getting a HP 54 Wide Format plotter/cutter to read registration marks/bar code? Have had this machine for about five years. We run FLEXI Rip and up until last week, specifically the Flexi HP edition. The first several years, we relied on the bar code reader to make...
  15. Just Saying

or good time to start killing your own food from wildlife...venison, elk, squirrel, rabbit and the list goes on....I like to tell PETA people I am helping them by killing what's eating THEIR food!
