I've had the same problem. It got 90% better after replacing the head caps but I don't know if the two are related.

Couldn't hurt to check the pump lines for possible hardening, cracks, air leak or blockage & make sure the yellow ink cartridge is properly seated. Agree with RJS. It seem air must be getting in somewhere.

That's happen to me. (same printer) Some cyan has back flowed into the head/damper/ink supply tube (depending on the amount of migration). Mine was Magenta in the yellow after a head soak. (Easier to see in test print) Cleaning cycles and printing all day didn't clear it up. I end up unhooking...

I always have about 10% of ink left in the (max life eco-sol) cartridge when it says it's empty. I save 'em up and take a syringe, suck, pull, and combine the leftovers into one. But I'm just frugal like that.
