  1. US Tariffs, Sigh!

In Canada we have a program called "TFW" (temporary foreign workers). It allows company owners to bring in foreigners to do jobs we don't want to do... If they can't find local workers to do them. So all the fast food places ... Farms, all back breaking labor jobs are held by people with a...
  2. US Tariffs, Sigh!

There's crackheads on both sides of the isle. I'm sure 1 far left liberal sent them a gloating email saying they'll be buying from Canada.... Then CBC overview it out of proportion.
  3. How many of you would......................................................................

If a client is new and doesn't have terms, they pay upfront no matter the cost.... Whether it's $20 or $2000, if you don't have a relationship with them, how can you trust you'll get paid? We won't even start to work on a project until we have payment for "cash"(non termed) customers. If they...
  4. I'm really for closing all the frickin' borders...........................................................................

Gomen-sai! Just like tatus catchy song. Japans fun, they're nice and if you're in a main city 90% of people speak pretty good English.... And they love when white people attempt to pronounce their hard to say words.
  5. How's crime / theft in your areas these days?

Well.. at least it wasnt a break in this time! Someone decided to light our picnic island on fire.... It's currently 55 degrees out, so I doubt anyone was lighting a fire to stay warm. Plus Got a video of him starting the fire.... taking photos of it... letting his jacket catch on fire a few...
  6. S80600: new to eco solvent: minimal print or autoprinthead cleaning?

Daily cleanings is a myth if you're using the printer every day, or every other day. If you're going a week between prints.... You're going to want to do a daily cleaning. We use our printer 8 hours a day, and not only will it do an auto cleaning every xx days.... It'll run cleanings...
  7. 400 hours

Some people are willing to pay still. Me and a buddy just did a wall mural that was hand painted.... Was like 20 ft x 20 ft, took us a weekend only.. but since it was hand painted, we got 75k to do it. Expenses were maybe 7-8k...paint, genie, road closure, permits, etc. Few hours for...
  8. HP 115 latex printer

If the print heads are bad, all you contaminate are the heads which you would have had to replace anyways, so it's a win-win situation. If the ink is bad you could potentially ruin the print heads, it's really bad you have to flush out all the lines... It's just not worth it.
  9. HP 115 latex printer

The heads expire as well. But you have nothing to lose by putting the heads in and new ink in and doing a test print... not like you're going to contaminate and ruin the heads! I'd say odds are it'll be fine... There isnt too much ink in the heads, and theyre pretty sealed.
  10. I'm really for closing all the frickin' borders...........................................................................

If I don't understand someone, or I feel like they're being sketchy.... I follow up with a text message confirming all the details to the number they called me at. Or tell them I'm on an install, please send all the details in an email as I can't write shit down. I do it to most people, good...
  11. How's crime / theft in your areas these days?

Shopping in America is completely different than shopping in Canada... And I feel like our crime is just as bad as yours. Over here they don't do receipt checks on the way on either, only Costco does that... Went to Walmart in America a couple months ago, every single toy was locked up...
  12. What do you say to a customer that complains about every little imperfection in a commercial van wrap?

Down here you're supposed to be certified... We were up 20 feet in the air without any harness or anything.. most of the length was because we had to go from the sidewalks we didn't squish their pavers. It was $650 for the day, Canadian, I think that's like 450 freedom units. It's $200 to drop...
  13. What do you say to a customer that complains about every little imperfection in a commercial van wrap?

About 3 weeks ago we rented a huge genie with a 60 ft extension arm to do some window perf high up at a police station, some recruitment graphics that were staying up for 6 months and then being removed. We had to go down a small sidewalk, as well as a busy street... So we had to get traffic...
  14. What do you say to a customer that complains about every little imperfection in a commercial van wrap?

Haha, do you know how many times the owners or a customer have asked me about bubbles or defects, and I say it'll goa awy in the sun, knowing damn well it won't.... I think of the hundreds of times only 1 customer came back and said it didn't go away. Glad I'm not the only one who uses the...
  15. Backups

Truenas can real-time sync pretty good. I have it at my work / home both syncing files to eachother so we both have a secondary off-site.
