  1. NEED HELP: UCJV300 - 404 Error Y Current

Height doesn't matter; these machines run electro magnetic pressure (grams) not absolute positioning like say, a flatbed cutter.
  2. Gradient white print out of Rasterlink??

This is how I achieve white gradients out of rasterlink 6. After a LOT of frustration... Illustrator: Make a rectangle, or shape... make it solid yellow (or whatever). Make another shape over the top of it. Apply a gradient to the top shape, with one side being 100% opacity and the other...
  3. Cut Alignment goes out on rows of same label

Yeah that's a good point. Also, if this is the culprit, there will be a visual cue of bits of rubber below the slipping belt. I've had this happen before, but only on the scan motor, not the feed.
  4. Cut Alignment goes out on rows of same label

above is good advice, but it doesn't explain why some are cutting nicely and some aren't. Are you using registration marks? if so, try making them absurdly sized, say 50mm, and see if that helps. Make sure you're on 4-point rego check too.
  5. NEED HELP: UCJV300 - 404 Error Y Current

I've had to realign and replace this guy a couple of times. Got it down to a 3 minute process. 3 screws total. Remove the black cover on the cutting carriage. Remove the two screws in the photo (pointed to with pen) The whole unit will then come away from the CNC rail block. Be careful of...
  6. Need Help UCJV300-160 Shocked me - Screen went a bit haywire, and a few weeks later, my Y motor is completely failing.

Just for info, our 2018 UCJV300 did a Y motor in July 2023; completely seized (and smelled awful) I've never had a static issue at all with this machine, but that may be due to our 3rd pin on our aussie outlets.
  7. Need Help Mimaki JFX200

Hi guys, just to keep all informed, I just replaced the optical cable and the printer booted right back up first go. Confirming that: Printer was mid-job when it errored to SYSTEM HALT (6) Code 811: FW/SIO read. Heads dumped onto workpiece, upon reboot error code: SYSTEM HALT (1) 181:PCB...
  8. Need Help Mimaki JFX200

    double post sorry.
  9. Need Help Mimaki JFX200

The very same error on our machine at the moment. 70 percent through a job then a hard stop (as if the emergency stop button was pressed) then the heads let go of their bowels on the print media. This has me thinking that the optical cable isn't to blame; as, surely, the heads wouldn't just...
  10. Mimaki JFX200-2513 Idler/Tensioner pulley question

Nothing at all was stamped on the bearing, but I do agree that F699ZZ fits the bill. JFX200-2513
  11. Mimaki JFX200-2513 Idler/Tensioner pulley question

Well, that flanged (unstamped) bearing collapsed so we were able to take it to the bearing supplier; - none in the country unless we buy the whole pulley assembly ($1100AUD). We ended up putting four skateboard bearings into the Assy and a washer on the bottom to keep the pully at the correct...
  12. Need Help JFX 200 Loud Head Movement

What bearing(s) does the big Y toothed gear use? My bearing has gone bad and I need to replace ASAP.
  13. Mimaki JFX200-2513 Idler/Tensioner pulley question

I've got the same issue, but on the Capping station side of the machine. Bearing sounds crunchy and a soak with 3-in-1 over the weekend hasn't done much. By my approximation, the bearing is 25mm wide, but as the printer is still printing fine (and currently booked flat out), does anyone...
  14. Mimaki UCJV300-160 supply ink error.. HELP

The error went away after a restart, and then performed perfectly since... Maybe a brain fart? We'll see. Otherwise, it's an impeccable printer. We've had it too long to return now anyway
  15. Mimaki UCJV300-160 supply ink error.. HELP

I'm in at work just now to do routine maintenance in times of covid. The printer was in a crashed state 'pump sensor fail'. I restarted, did a nozzle check, and barely a single one fired. Turned machine off, back on, then I got this fill ink error. Trying the overflow now.... Fill ink only gives...
