  1. Cured UV ink scratching off new signs - help!

The chemical treatment I use is to remove the fingerprints and grease smudges, etc from the surface and it evaporates in a few seconds, usually not leaving any streaks or residue. It has nothing to do with ink adhesion and, like I stated earlier, it has not negatively affected the prints before.
  2. Cured UV ink scratching off new signs - help!

The UV lamps sound the most plausible given all other factors stayed the same. I will ask our service tech about it.
  3. Cured UV ink scratching off new signs - help!

We use UV LED lamps that are supposed to last a lot longer than the tube lamps. As far as I know they were not replaced and the machine is about three years old.
  4. Cured UV ink scratching off new signs - help!

Also, I should clarify this is the double thick 10mil coroplast, the kind that I was told costs around $25 per sheet. The stuff has always been hard to work with, doesn't help how it usually comes off the truck warped and dirty with stringy edges from whatever saw they use to cut it. Very hard...
  5. Cured UV ink scratching off new signs - help!

So the print shop I work at uses a Canon Arizona 1360GT flatbed UV printer to make large signs on coroplast. I always clean the coroplast with a suggested fingerprint remover formula of 14 oz water, 10 oz of Simple Green and 14oz of denatured alcohol. And I always wait until it's totally dry and...
  6. How to avoid rippling on RMO media (Canon Arizona 1360)

I found the secret to wide banners on the RMO. Turn the tension up to high and use the lowest heat lamp setting. Haven't had any rippling problems since.
  7. Illustrator CC default settings

When the shop I work at upgraded the Adobe CC version from 2020 to 2021, the default new document settings got messed with and it's set up for video now (?). It has a green "video ruler" around the sides I never saw before, with a green crosshair showing the center. I kind of like that, it helps...
  8. Fuzzy fibers on the ends of a banner roll

I tried using a heat gun on the low setting and it does make the fibers shrink. But you need to unroll the vinyl on a table first to treat the edges, or it melts them together on the roll. Then when it unrolls it pulls them out longer. Hope this helps.
  9. How to avoid rippling on RMO media (Canon Arizona 1360)

Canon Arizona 1360 operator here. I am struggling with long banner prints on 54" reinforced banner vinyl, 13 oz weight. No matter how tight I pull the edges of the roll when loading it, the material starts to ripple in the middle when a banner is more than halfway done, sometimes nearly...
  10. Adobe CC Licensing Error

My problem turned out to be simple. A security protocol had gone obsolete for Windows 7 and I downloaded a fix via Windows Update. Then Adobe was able to connect once the owner logged back in.
  11. Adobe CC Licensing Error

I get this when I open the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app and it won't let me do anything. I tried unsynchronizing the clock in Date & Time and re-synchronizing it.
  12. Adobe CC Licensing Error

Attn: Admin If this topic is in the wrong channel please move it to the appropriate channel. All month I have been struggling with Adobe CC licensing errors on my production PC. I'm running Windows 7 Professional. The license is under my manager's Adobe account but I'm the only one who uses it...
  13. Fuzzy fibers on the ends of a banner roll

When I print reinforced banner material from a roll, the edges of the roll always seem to unravel into these thin hairlike fibers that wipe across the print heads and smear the ink, sometimes ruining otherwise good prints. The fresh new rolls are worse than older ones it seems. Pulling at the...
  14. Canon/Oce Arizona 1300 series - Repeated Roll Motion Errors with RMO

Thanks. Restarting now. I think I found the problem. The top take up shaft wasn't tightened all the way. It couldn't rotate the tube and put tension on the media.
  15. Canon/Oce Arizona 1300 series - Repeated Roll Motion Errors with RMO

-I printed out the foot pedal sequence and taped it to the floor right next to it and I'm following it to the letter. -Where are the sensors/strips located? Couldn't find any mention of those. -I can't do anything on the PC, it has no keyboard, just a mouse. The print driver interface is...
