  1. Anyone have the JV330-160 yet?

We've just had a JV330-160 installed. Running the first proper production on it today. We came from a Seiko ColorPainter M64s, and the two have quite a bit in common. With the ink configuration we chose (CcMmYWKW), the speed isn't as good as the Seiko, but the prints look really good. Main...

Anyone running a Mimaki JV330-160 with Caldera? Where do you find ICC profiles?
  3. Painting routed acrylic letters

We're using Genesis Lustral by Sherwin Williams.
  4. Painting routed acrylic letters

We are getting more and more of a need for painting routed acrylic letters. We've done a bit of it in an inflatable spray booth with mediocre results, and we're in the process of setting up a proper spray booth with a view to improving our output both in volume and quality. What I would like...
  5. NC Vinyl installer / vehicle wrap installer wanted

Any wrappers / vinyl installers looking for work in Raleigh?
  6. Vinyl Cutters compatible with Mac M1

We have an old Graphtec FC 8600-160 and it works just fine with an M1 Mac via Cutting Master. One thing you do have to watch for is that Graphtec does not update Cutting Master as frequently as Adobe updates Illustrator, so Illustrator keeps getting ahead and there can be compatibility issues...
  7. Looking for a good supplier for printed ACM panels

We can do this, but where are you located? Shipping could be the challenge here unless you find someone local.

  10. FC8600-130 inconsistent cutting depth

Another thing that has caught me out once before is the blade holder not being installed properly after changing a blade. Make sure its seated correctly and tightened.
  11. Cut acrylic for standoffs?

I realize this doesn't exactly match your example, but these standoffs are great for doing what you're trying to do: https://www.wired4signsusa.com/collections/signage-standoffs
  12. Is Briteline comparable to Arlon?

We use Briteline all the time and love it. We use Wrapcast for commercial vehicle wraps and Duration X (2303) for flat surfaces. We also carry their el cheap vinyl (2203) for economy decals and short term signage. We're happy with all of them their place. Briteline Wrapcast has proved to be...
  13. Tactile and braille sign

Just a word regarding UV flatbed printing tactile ADA signs, I have done some experiments on our Fluidcolor R84F, and managed to print tactile text a little over 1/32" in height in a single pass using white ink to build up the height quickly and an overcoat of whatever color is needed. (I say...
  14. Removal of printed wrap with 3M Primer 94 - Any tips?

So we're removing a wrap where the previous installer used 3M primer 94 in a BIG way. It's basically everywhere except in the middle of flat body panels. If they were trying to make sure this wrap never failed, they NAILED it. Now that I have the job of getting this off, it seems less of a...
  15. Production & Installation help wanted in Raleigh, NC - Vehicle wraps, vinyl installation and general signage.
