Yea i was afraid I knew the answer... was hoping that I could trick the machine to print the white the which the machine will put under a color as a foundation but then come back and print it again as if it were a color on top too... wishful thinking Thanks for the feedback all

no - not just overhead lights and sunlight.... its is opaque colored vinyl printing on the first/front surface

Hi All, We have an EFI-16H printing on Vinyl for an awning. Need an opaque white for lrttering and the machine has 3 levels of qualitly (in other words speeds / # of passes of print head) that will sort of work. The lesser of 3 "POP" is awesome for speed but not white enough. Next better "HIGH"...

Got on the phone with EFI and they are going to run through a checklist of steps with us. I'll update with more info after their intervention. Thanks for the input thus far.

I made sure the white is good to go, being used so little generally speaking(most of the media being white) I make sure to give it a good run. Doing exactly what you're saying as well as some manual/auto purges. The material is rather soft, is there a tip or trick as to reading spongy/soft...

Thanks for the feedback, we are printing on 14oz black upholstery vinyl. Using the default calibration for set head gap 0.5-0.6(could this be a scenario where it needs to be further away from the media perhaps?), when the media is loaded using the auto set gap feature in Print Control Utility...
