hello all,
We do some engraving and awards but never got into award ribbons. A trophy shop in town recently went under, and we are picking up a lot of their request from customers. Most we have been able to fill except for customer award ribbons. I have found a few suppliers looking around...
I have had some brands, like FDC Lumina I just can't find a good cut pressure/speed combo for. I can get them workable, but still very draggy when weeding greatly increasing weed time and mistakes.
That is who we normally use, but they are sold out and don't have an ETA on when they will get more. I have 2 rolls on backorder with them since Mid May.
It looks like that is what I am going to end up having to do.
I think I did a poor job explaining myself in the original post. I am less concerned with the additional cost, than I am switching to a brand I haven't used before. I don't know how Avery or Gerber cuts and weeds compared to Oracal...
Anyone know if any distributors have any Oracal 751 gloss black in stock?
We have a couple large orders for gloss black logos/lettering. Oracal 751 is our preferred series to use. Not picky about width - 24" or 30" works just fine. I can't seem to find it anywhere. Everyone says its on back...
We use QB Point of Sale for our POS system, but we also do some retail sales and are a print/copy shop. Then the data is dumped to QB Desktop for our bookkeeper to handle all the invoice and such.
We have some flat pricing for parts of vehicle. Such as vehicle door, van side (Lettering), tailgates, bug guards, etc. We do a lot of contractors pickups & vans, as well as their job trailers. So we have a rough sqft price for trailers and simple job vans we use to estimate the customer. If...
As others have said, we have used the clients faculties if the vehicle / trailer was too large for ours. We did a couple 30ft trailers for a landscape company last year, and we just don't have that much length in our bay. But they have a large shop we used. Normally we charge additional to do...
We just keep a stock W9 on file and email/fax it to companies that request it. Even when I don't think a company really needs a W9 from us its easier just to send one over vs argue with them.
We just did our first order from Sign365 for some 4ft x 16ft banners. Customer wanted them in a hurry and on 18oz material. We were swamped in store and only had 13oz material on had.
Quality is pretty decent IMO. Printing wasn't quite as crisp as if we ran them in house, but these banners...
