We had a customer come in saying he wants us to repair his back window perf. He claims there was a large air bubble that he tried to press down and it cracked. I am calling BS on this one. He is a new customer and seems like a nice guy but I have never seen a material failure that looks like...
We just printed and installed a nice 52" x 54" print in one of our offices and it turned out great!
we used the profile that came with onyx and it printed nicely.
The install was a bit messy with the extra goop created by applying pressure to the pre pasted paper. It did wipe away with water...
I'm hoping to receive some soon and try a small wall in our studio. Looks pretty cool on the videos I have seen on YouTube. I will let you know how it goes.
We just went through the same issue with 3M IJ8171 perf with clear liner. It won't lay flat even with minimum heat. Head strike every time. Our IJ66 perf with paper liner works perfect! Now I just hope my supplier will let me exchange the 2 rolls I have in stock to a version with a paper liner.
Thanks guys. We just did a couple on 3m ij5100r and it looks great. My only dilemma now is does anyone carry a 54" wide reflective? I can only find 48". We are applying to alupanel.
I just switched from my vp540 Roland and I am loving the prints. We just did our first wrap and the material felt crisp and solid for install right off the machine. Unlike the Roland where even after gassing off for 24 hours the vinyl still seems a little soft and flimsy. The room the printer is...
Bresnik have you tried the canvas yet? I am getting my L25500 later this week and was wondering how it worked out for you and if you would recommend the canvas.
thanks
We have the 100" Javelin Cutter bar made by keenCut mounted to one of our tables and its been awesome. It cuts through the majority of our substrates and it is also great for trimming down prints.
Hi everyone, I should be getting my new HP L25500 later this week and I was just wondering if anyone has printed on reflective media with it. If so what brand of material did you use and are you using ONYX to RIP? Did it print OK and did the reflective pop nice at night?
I have been printing...
I have the exact same issues as well. I havent tried rapic tac 2. This is the first Ive heard of it, so I will see if I can get my hands on some. thanks
Thanks for the info I just purchased the L25500 with Onyx and I have some Siser colorprint in stock that we were using with our Roland. I was worried that it wasnt going to work with the new equipment.
I was going through the same debate and my rep told me that there were a few more options with production house over poster shop. One of them being the ability to do variable data printing.
We wait at least 24 hours especially if its for a vehicle wrap. It I am just doing some coroplast signs or something where the adhesive wont be under a lot of strain than we will lam sooner only if we need to.
We just got our roll of 1080 Carbon Fibre. Looks really nice but I did notice that the weave pattern isnt as straight as the DiNoc. It is thinner, glossier and not as aggressive as the DiNoc. We are doing the roof and hood of a new Honda CRZ. It looks great so far!
