Hello all, I recently aquired an rj8000 pigment printer that has 8 print heads. Is there a possibility to remove 4 of the heads and use the other 4 heads for printing? Or do I need all 8 heads for the printer to work? Thanks.

I have a similar problem with artwork created in flexisign. If its created in Photoshop or Illustrator its fine. What you need to do is open the tiff in photoshop and assign a input profile to the image and save it as a jpg. then open it in flexisign production manager and assign an output...

I had the same problem with my cj-540. Check the continuity between both sides of the fuse with the multimeter. That will let you know if the fuse is allowing current from one end of the fuse to the other. If not replace the fuse. The fuse on mine kept blowing so i checked all of the transistors...

Does any one know if the JV4 supports 8 heads? My JV4 has 2 empty slots on the end but there is no heads, captops or lines going to that empty space.

Sc-500 doesn't have a crop mark reader. You have to print crop marks and manually align it. What I have done in the past is align the front crop marks with the edge of the vacuum platen. Next move the cutter head blade point over the top of the corner of the right front cropmark and hit...

If you can handle the solvent smell the AJ is the better choice. Its built well and has a completely different ink system and heads than any other roland printer. The ink will last longer and stick to the media better. The color density is also greater for good looking backlit prints.
