Thank you guys! it was the encoder strip. I cleaned it with alcohol and working like it should again! Can't believe that makes a difference in print job.
Our Sc540 is printing weird all of a sudden. We were printing a pdf and eps file and the picture below is the result. The first 2 passes will be fine, then when the third pass hits, it goes off leaving a shadow effect that we don't want. Notice the side lines also. it was suppose to be straight...
I own a couple of graphtecs and roland cutters. I have not owned a summa yet. I was reading on another post and many praises for the summa. I'm wondering what makes a Summa better then a Graphtec/Roland other then the customer service? Is it the speed? accuracy? ease of use? special functions...

I'm printing with a Roland SC540 (print and cut) and using flexi-sign. Can I do a perf cut/pop out stickers? Can I make something like the picture? if so how? If not, what do I need to do this? any help will definitely be appreciated.

I have the same problem. I think to me, its the print speed. When I put it on high speed, i think its going too fast and splatters. When I lower it to high quality/slow. problem solved! I also think it's the capping station also. Maybe it was flooded and the head might be carrying the access ink...
unroll your banner till it gets close to the floor prior to printing. This will allow slack from the roll. When the printer takes up the media and the roll is too heavy, it will pucker up. you can also adjust the head height by reaching in by the print heads. there is a lever to raise it up
