  1. Suggestions Dreamscape alternative for metallic/silver wall wrap vinyl or wallpaper?

Trying to help out a client with project that originally called for Dreamscape Silver Odyssey wallpaper: https://dreamscapewalls.com/portfolio/silver-odyssey/ Apparently a couple of weeks out for that material and they're looking for something sooner. Any other materials come to mind? Doesn't...
  2. Filemaker and/or SmartSheet Setup Help? Other estimating/management systems?

Are you saying you regret building your own FM solution? Are you guys still running your operations with a modified version of your FM solution or have you moved on to something bigger? I remember following along with your videos and getting really excited about FM, then I realized I just...
  3. Filemaker and/or SmartSheet Setup Help? Other estimating/management systems?

You mentioned Smartsheet a couple of times, have you tried playing around with it/talking to them? We've been using it for 10+ years, and as much as I don't love it and am constantly looking for a better solution, we're only paying $30/month for our current plan and it does the trick. We...
  4. US Tariffs, Sigh!

Is this a real quote? Hard to tell sometimes, considering he speaks at a 4th grade level and probably has the IQ to match.
  5. US Tariffs, Sigh!

Good to know, thanks. Hope you get that contracted sorted out without anyone getting butt-hurt, although if they're not aware of what's happening or familiar with the word "tariff" by now, they've been living under a pretty huge rock. I'll have to reach out to ND and see what they're saying...
  6. Suggestions New Flatbed Printer Suggestions

That's good to know, glad to hear you're happy with the Epson flatbed. How is ink adhesion and cover? Any issues with poor adhesion or some materials showing fingerprints etc? Any substrates you just can't get to work?
  7. US Tariffs, Sigh!

Have you gotten official increase notices on 3M / Avery already? I was assured that they weren't being affected (yet) the other day....I'm wondering when that changed. I know 3M just had their normal unrelated increase but I was told it didn't affect anything that we use regularly. I know...
  8. US Tariffs, Sigh!

I don't think ND deals with Epson at all. We get ours (epson inks) from Spicers, which I'm (fairly) sure is (or was at some point) a Canadian company. I'd rather give Spicers, or literally anyone off the street money if it means not giving it to Grimco.
  9. Exhaust Fan Question

We just installed a 130W a couple of months ago and have one of the 8" AC Infinity fans CanuckSigns is looking at. Man that thing moves a lot of air!! It's mounted half way between the laser and the hole in the wall - I would think you want more pull than push, assuming everything between the...
  10. News HP Latex R530

That's fair. Sorry, I didn't mean to hi-jack your thread. I'm still not a fan of HP but I can see the appeal for some shops, especially if they've been on the HP bandwagon for a while. To each their own as they say!
  11. seeking tips for selling stickers online

Agreed. To the OP, you say you know everything that you need to do as if it's easy and simple, so go do it. I've had the same thought: "we have all the equipment - we just need more volume". It's easy to throw a bunch of machines and people into a building and call yourself a business...
  12. News HP Latex R530

100% agree. Never been a fan. Evaluated the FB500 10 years ago when getting into our first flatbed, opted to go with Canon/Oce instead and never looked back. Didn't get the RMO but if we wanted a "hybrid", I'd rather a true flatbed with Roll option rather than a belt-fed unit.
  13. Laminating ucjv300 print without heat

Good to know, got a product #?
  14. Let's Talk Rectangular 90 Degree Cuts, What Have You Learned?

Thanks for reporting back with your results, glad to hear you made some progress. When you said you were having problems, what was happening exactly? 90 degree corners weren't matching up perfectly?
  15. News HP Latex R530

Interesting, thanks for sharing. I guess they realized not everyone is willing to dish out the amount of monies required to get into the R1000/2000 price point. Personally I always thought they (R1000/2000) were way overpriced but then again I'm not HP fanboy to begin with.
