Using white/mt profiles when not printing those colors is a killer!! We had an issue with our xr using a ton of white/mt. Inks should last a long time,we use ours daily as we print primarily on clear vinyl. Our vs uses an ink set up every 5-6 months, but we used it very seldom.

The new cloud doesnt work at all with gerber fx...Tried everything..

shake the inks for 30 seconds befor printing every job It is vital to getting good prints..

Did you shake inks for a bit before installng?

I run my under bases at standard pint mode, let it return to origin after 15 minutes of dry then print my cmyk.. I would thing about an hour 1 15 minutes total.. Thats on the xr.. I believe I could speed it up some as well. I think I can spped up head without sacrificing quality.

Yes 2 on the overprint. Getting the profile right is key... less is more!!! We always offer metallic on any color that is available, as a substitute color..When we show the metallic color chart ,easy sell. Gradients we don't do with white..not that it wont..just we have no use.. honda gas...

Here is a photo of the white decals printed onto clear applied to black. Alot of our stuff goes on dark surfaces..I was a little sceptical when I first got my vs... There was no doubt after the first print with the xr it was gonna work just fine.. .

Oh yeah, Dan Ramm is the best technician we have dealt with Both he and Tyrrell tech are top notch.. Each time I print it impresses me more!! The metallic effects are incredible!!

The picture was takken still on the printer. The vinyl has a clear backing, so you are seeing the heater color.

I concur..I love the look of the metallics ,Very nice touch to the prints. An easy upsell..I always show regular prints vs. metallic..The customer 9 out of 10 times takes the metallics. 30-40% markup depending.. Still over the moon about the vibrancy of the colors!!!

I had a similar looking calibration..head rubs will cause that as well..What I meen is oracal vinly does ripple from excess heat, I know, I use it. What it looks like is head deflection. Did you try to soak a cleaning swab with cleaning fuid and lightly dab(not rub) the head..I tried the soak...

Make sure the reader is centered on the strip..it has heppened to us. Also make sure reader is clean. Did you do encoder setup after replacing strip?

There is a tab sticking out of cartridge cut it off..it will get you through..but dont print,.

In response to my previous post and my rants, which were venting my frustrations!! Please disreguard my rants ,as they were working on a resolution. Everyday seemed like a week. I am being FULLY taken care of by roland and their support team. THANKS ROLAND
