  1. Saving Flexi files to an SSD drive

I haven't found that running Flexi in windows 64bit makes any difference (since it is only a 32 bit app) except for the obvious ability to use a zillion GB's RAM -which is nice of course. I think it would help though if Flexi (SAI) made the app more multi threaded to help with the above...
  2. Saving Flexi files to an SSD drive

Yes I guess I have , however I wanted to see if anyone else had noticed this and in particular how slow flexi was at saving large files - now that they use file compression ( as opposed to earlier versions ) which didn't.
  3. Saving Flexi files to an SSD drive

Has anyone else noticed that saving large Flexi files to a SSD (solid state) drive is no quicker than to an HDD (ordinary Hard Drive) , yet opening them from a SDD is , especially if the Temp files folder (set in preferences) saves to the SDD as well. I have tried different combinations of...
  4. AMD vs Intel

BLUE vs RED [There are so many factors in the Intel vs. AMD debate that it's really almost impossible to answer.] Quite right. There seems however one shortcoming with the AMD's they appear to run hot and can overheat more easily. After building many AMD and INTEL systems over the years, I...

  6. "Sending to Versaworks"

Does anyone know if the settings can be changed in the "send to versaworks" function, so that you can choose a format other than .eps ? ( in Flexi 8.6 ) {eps is not always suitable}. There is nothing in the manual about this, at least I can't find it anyway, maybe someone else has better...

  9. Flexi 10 Coming Soon

  10. Flexi 10 Coming Soon

I received an email from you guys about Flexi 10, so deleted it as an obvious HOAX, or Phishing mail. Why would they release a version 10 and not 9 just because this is 2010..... So this would mean the next subsequent release will skip to version 12.

Easiest method Have you tried good ole Mineral Turps, works well and doesn't hurt the paint. I'd rather swear by it than swear at it !

  13. window 7

Windows 7 64 bit I think you may be missing the point, we are talking about computers used for serious work !!! (along with all the other small demand stuff too). Yes, I find that 3 gb is okay if running just a few apps, but try running multi apps like Coreldraw, Flexisign,Versaworks etc...

Versa works 4 and Windows 7 -64 bit I'm curious to know why Roland doesn't support Win 7 64 bit (only 32bit) under Versa-works. Is anyone running Versa-works 4.0 with a Roland Sp540, if so are there any compatibility issues ?

Hi to all you signies out there, I have been involved in the industry for about 30 years. Going from painting boards in my fathers sign shop with lead based paints advancing to hand lettering on his signs as an apprentice, trying to master the art of writing "C's ,O's & "S's" that looked like...
