Gotcha! Thanks for your feedback. Yes, i am laminating before printing to give the vinyl wrap some thickness. For what we do we need at-least 4mil thickness with good adhesive which 180 series has. Hopefully, other will reply.
Hi all,
I'm having issues with silvering when laminating IJ180 before UV printing. After using a heat laminator roll-to-roll, the silvering persists even after five days. Would a cold press laminator roll-to-roll be more effective?
If anyone has a cold press laminator and can help with a test...
Yes, I am not intending to use it anytime. So going with the cleaning solution seems to be a good idea. What do you say about that? It is safe for a long term?
I currently use my Roland UV LG 300 to print graphics on white vinyl, so I don't require white ink. Due to the high viscosity of white ink, I understand it needs to be used at least once a week to prevent the print head from clogging. My dealer suggested using a cleaning solution instead of...
Hey everyone! I'm looking to laminate a 3M 180C roll measuring 30 inches x 50 yards. Any recommendations on the type of lamination machine I should use for this? Also, how can I ensure the machine not only laminates but also rewinds the material into a roll again after lamination?
We have a phone and laptop wrap (decals) business. We previously used 40C film, but the adhesive wasn't effective enough. After posting about the material our competitor uses, I discovered they use IJ180C. Today, I received samples of IJ180C and noticed they are thinner than our competitor's...
The adhesive starts fading off after few weeks. I am currently testing IJ180C, and believe me, the adhesive is amazing on it compared to 40C. Why can't we use the lamination? We do textured printing, which allows you to touch and feel the prints. If we use the lamination you might not feel the...
What do you say about ij35c on back of a phone or laptop. they are usually flat surfaces. Will it leave any residue after few months of peeling of. How would you rate the peeling experience of ij35c in compared to 40c. Also their adhesive. 40C adhesive is really bad if I'm being honest.
