  2. Ding, Seal, Royal, Diage ....... 60+" Laminator Hell!

Im in the same situation. I am looking for a laminator. Maybe someone here can explain what you would need the heated one for. Is it only for laminating both sides or what? Wouldn't a cold one laminate (if you had the right kind) sintra and plex and any substrate? and also laminate...

  4. shop build-out for router... seeking experienced feedback

Get the biggest vacuum motor you can. We cut alum. also and the cutting fluid makes a mess of your hold down holes which leades to less hold down. I used to work in a shop that had a 8X10 room with a 4x8 router in it. It had cement walls and ceiling it was kinda like a bunker. The loudest...
  5. Hey everyone

I think... HIGHLY PRICED CLOTHING, SIGNS, VINYL, AND MUCH MORE. Than you can overcharge for everything and if someone has a problem you can just say "my sign says it all".

  11. Painting Precision board

Yea I'm not the best brusher in the world !! I did clean out the corners as best I could but the results were still poor. I would have rolled it, but it was too 3d to work like that. I think maybe I need to take a painting class..
  12. Recommended Router Bits

We use SGS. As far as upcut/downcut. It makes since that when you have vinyl on the top of your subsrtae you would want the force down in stead up up, because up will lift the edge of the vinyl. Hey Blueridge, nice signs you make there.!
  13. Y-Axis error?

When you move the Y by yourself does it make the error or only when there is a job running? Also does this happen in both directions? Also also what kind or router?
  14. Painting Precision board

I dont know. Its the onyl primer recommended by precision board. It is thick and yes it creates a nice brush stroke texture. ( <--- sarcasm..) I dont know about using a diff kind. I never had. I would just thin this stuff way down and spray. Also this sign I am playing with is pretty...

Ok, Has anyone been succesfull priming precision board with a brush? I tried using the fsc-88 and it basically filled all corners so now it looks like crap. It says right on the instructions you can use a brush, but the quality is . real bad. I would like to not have to use the paint...
  16. What CNC Do You have?

I am 90% sure that the Multicam 1000 series does not need 3-phase. I was talking to a distributor and that was one of the pluses of Multicam over gerber.
  17. What CNC Do You have?

Anyone have a Techno router? There is an ad on this site somewhere for these. After looking at their website they look pretty nice. We have a sabre and cut everything withit. Oh yeah one thing to consider is power for these. The gerber sabre needs a 3-phase power while the Multicam doesnt...
  18. I am thinking of buying a Mutoh printer.

I have alot of experience using the Seiko colorpainter (HP9000) and while the prints can be really good there is banding problems that always eventually arise. I know Mutoh has the wavy printing thing and that to mee seems like a deal maker, but how does the rest of the machines stand up? I...
