    Hey everybody. Just got a sample roll of static cling in today. No clue on the manufacturer, only know its clear static cling. Anybody have any ideas on what profiles to use? I know it's a broad question without knowing the brand. Just wondering if a clear vinyl profile will work. Thanks!

    I had similar problems recently. I use the type 2 marks, also had to adjust the sensitivity of the ARMS sensor. I talked to Vinh at Graphtec tech, and he was a great help. I still have some PDF files he sent over for adjustments. PM me with your email and I can send them to ya

    Has anybody printed on the Drytac VM-POLYmatte with a HP L25500? Any ideas on what settings or profiles to use? Got a sample roll from our local distributor, not even sure where to start with settings. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks

  12. L25500 and graphtec FC8000 - cutting too "short"

    i have the new firmware 4.0.0.4, still getting the f'd up cuts. mine are left to right though, not front to back. also have a hell of a time getting the plotter to recognize the registration points. anybody have any suggestions? or am I calling for tech support by the end of the week?

    I am also having alignment issues with the same printer & plotter, although not as severe as yours. I will be paying attention to see if it gets figured out. what program are you using to cut?

    Might sound dumb, but have you thought about redrawing it in illustrator? I usually lock the picture, then just use the pen tool to redraw, fixing the anchor points where needed. Then use divide to get rid of the inside sections of the letters.

    Just talked to him, going to run out and buy one today or tomorrow. Just hoping he doesn't get the cheapest saw he sees. I know he needs the tools, so does he, just doesn't want to buy them if he doesn't have to yet. Thanks guys, I appreciate the help.

    If you find yourself getting alot of wraps, definitely attend a wrap school. I took the Oracal course a few years ago, and it helped tremendously. Highly recommended IMO
  17. Cutting Alumalite

    Just started at a new sign shop and have to cut down a 4x8 sheet of alumalite into 2x4's. We have a fletcher titan 60, and razor blades. Owner has no other cutting tools, and is a start up, so he doesn't want to buy anything yet. anybody have any ideas on how I can cut this down? He thinks...
