We used to set up RAID 5 with a min 4 disks. 3 for parity and one hot spare. That way, there is no down time. If a drive blows, the hot spare would pick up. And, like tamiya said, replace the blown drive right away.

I've was in IT for awhile before coming back to making signs. I've seen a ton of hard drives crash and I agree with grafixemporium about WD being crap. I've just seen too many of them crash. Here's a little trick that I've learned: If you hear a hard drive "Clicking", get as much info off...
