I'm so sorry, I feel like an idiot, but I cannot seem to figure out how to post a request for help with a font id? I found the threads, but I can't see anywhere to click to post a new message.
Nevermind...I finally figured this out! ;-/
I have received a file from another sign shop, sent to me in CDL format. I will be using this to print, not cut, and I need the file converted to a vector format for use in Corel Draw X3. Can someone please convert this for me?
Thanks in advance!
Christine
Jeff? or anyone? I've had one (PNC 5000) sitting here for good long while...where can I find the drivers, do you know?
Can anyone tell me if this might work with Vista or should I not even try anything newer than XP?
Once I learn what I am doing, I may get a newer cutter.
Well of course it is!! :Cool 2: But...a certain talent and aptitude is definitely a prerequisite, don'cha think? A very few possess the ability, as it should be, I think!
Everyone....and I mean E A C H and E V E R Y O N E of you "old pros" had to start at the beginning, somewhere... with probably less than the top of the line equipment.
And we don't all aspire to be top of the line professional sign painters, (thank goodness! ;-) some of us just want to...
LOL...Are we still on this? FYI, I have never used a template and I ceased using MS clipart many years ago. There you are assuming again... but I give up. Ya just can't score with everyone.
Directed to iSign's last comment...
Excellent... lolol Point taken, I'm duly impressed and now quite speechless, putting this and myself to bed.
It's been an experience. ;-)
Not meaning to beat a dead horse here...just tying up loose ends ;-)
I want to make one observation if I could...
I do/did understand your intended point, but it's not quite on spot. ;-) A telemarketer does invade your home--- a member posting in this forum ---well, it's more like opening...
Ah Weez...cut me some slack here... How can you say I'm not open to suggestions? I responded to a number of suggestions with a positive attitude. I even listened to your suggestion and I already ordered the "Mastering Layout: On the Art of Eye Appeal" by Mike Stevens I hope it's the right...
LOL...Oh hell..I don't do signs with it, I've been using PCs since the Atari 800XL, when the operating system was on a 5.25 floppy. MS Pub was the first artistic DTP and I can do just about anything I want with it, I'm not ashamed. It's been my tool of choice for many years and for brochures...
Another thought... I'm not at all a "Jack" and I may not be your idea of an expert in a particular field...
but...hehehe....I prefer to think of myself as versatile, multi faceted and well-rounded...:wink:
and I do just fine, thank you.
ROTFLMAO Mr. Drane aka arrogant personified perhaps?
How can you make so many assumptions with so little knowledge about me or my business and be so freakin' wrong and think you know it all? :help:
My business name is Special Effects, my login simply a shortened version.
My business name (at...
I'm probably going to be sorry I am asking these questions, but I am really puzzled here. And I am not intending attitude or sarcasm here, but rather serious questions. This (Signs101) is not a private club (or is it?) isn't it a question/answer/discussion forum which invites new members, or...
My apologies, I should have read all the posts on this thread first, I like how Fred addressed this, after all, he's the boss ;-) and thanks to all you friendly people here... This was a very informative thread to me as well.
