  1. Multi Color Alignment

Although that link is nice Signage, I don't think that was exactly Probird's question. I believe the question was how to make registration marks in VMP. IN VMP Registration marks are called CROP marks. Here's one way to do it.... After you design your multi-colored layout, click...
  2. How to open up the center of an O, or D etc.

OK, I tried to follow Fred's suggestion, which I couldn't get to work at first. I colored the white centers layer the same as the black letters with no centers layer. Then I tried to combine them which didn't seem to work. I tried to punch them out which didn't seem to work and then I did...
  3. How to open up the center of an O, or D etc.

I've looked up compound in the help files for VMP because I could find a compound command. VMP calls compound (combine). However combining the logo didn't work.
  4. How to open up the center of an O, or D etc.

OK, I tried to weld the logo, and the center of the O completely filled in with black , so I had an O with no center. I tried to select by color, and chose white. Then I moved the white off the page, but still ended up with letters with no centers. I tried to find the Punch Out option...
  5. How to open up the center of an O, or D etc.

Hmmm, so far I haven't welded, blacked out or compounded the logo yet, but I'll try those things now and see what happens. Thanks for the suggestions!
  6. How to open up the center of an O, or D etc.

Hello everyone, I wonder if the VMP pros could let me know how to open up the center of a closed letter, like an O or a D or a P etc. Here is my situation. While working on a white magnetic sign in VMP I had to import a logo. It is Black and my page background is white. Everything is going...
  7. Heat Press Deal....$365 New!

I have compared the updated manual that datcat has sent to us with the copy that came with my heat press. They are indeed different. The changes are mostly small little helpful items, but the BIG difference is that the updated manual states that the heat press is shipped at 220V instead of 110V...
  8. Heat Press Deal....$365 New!

Mine was set for 220V also. On mine, 220 is the down position. It should be set in the up position for 110V. Here is a picture of where the switch is located for those that have not received their press yet.
  9. Heat Press Deal....$365 New!

Hey, I just noticed that they revised their auction listing for the heat press. He is listing it at .99 cents with No Reserve. Perhaps he feels he can get more money this way. He better cross his fingers. Item # 7531242824
  10. Heat Press Deal....$365 New!

Datcat, You mean you put all this effort into making this purchase happen, and you didn't get yours first? That kind of sucks. :Big Laugh I just received mine today as well. It looks very good! My press came with the Operation Manual, which is a total of 12 pages one side...

  13. Summa Cut-off Knife

Well, speak of the Couppy? I just received the Summer 2005 Summa catalog and on page 10 it shows the Cut off knife. One is blue and it mentions the D60, D120, D750 and T750 and costs $12. The other is yellow, like the one posted by Greg. That one costs $29 and mentions the higher end...
  14. Summa Cut-off Knife

Thanks everyone, I do not like gadgets that break. I just ordered an OLO rolling scissors today. I'll let you know how it works. So far, I've just been pushing along a pair of sharp regular scissors, but they get dull very quickly doing that.
  15. Summa Cut-off Knife

Do you just run it along the slot on the cutter that's above the measurements? If it's handy, I'll get one. I like handy gadgets.
  16. Summa Cut-off Knife

Just wondering what a Summa Cut-off Knife is exactly and what it looks like. Is it worth the $12 they ask for it? On their website, it says Cut-off Knife (without base). What do they mean by the base? :thankyou:
  17. Need a bigger vinyl cutter for side work

To stay on a budget, you could also consider a referbished Summa D60 They have a warranty, and you save a few bucks too. "Moving up" to anything less than a 24" cutter would be a waste of your money.
  18. Advice on cutter...

Bigger can be better, but not always necessary. If you're looking into a 24" cutter, I'd recommend the Summa D60. I did a lot of reading on most of the 24" cutter before I decided on the D60.
  19. What kind of shop do you have?

That would be crazy putting a compressor in your living room. Come on. That belongs in the laundry room don't you think? :Big Laugh When I look around my house, I can't figure out why I bought a house, and not just a very large garage? :help:
  20. Creation PCut Vinyl Cutter

It's possible that it's Spam, but we should give the guy a chance first. Perhaps he actually wishes to discuss this brand of cutter. :help: Zengco does happen to be a company that sells these cutters, but that doesn't make it spam so far. If this guy knows about the cutters and people ask...
