Find edges quick using the Quick Mask Mode in Photoshop http://youtu.be/aCzohbUTKeM
  2. Vector vs Raster, Resolution, and Scaling

I'm sorry but I don't accept it, as a rule I try not to listen to anyone who responds in such a condescending manner, simple as that. If you think it's alright for one member to try and humiliate another then you are in good company with Bob. I also continue to wholeheartedly stand by my...

It's still out there, simple but not sophisticated enough for complex selections. http://youtu.be/IofMERULHiU

Because of it's ability to select "Partial Pixels" the Color Range Command outshines the Magic Wand Tool http://youtu.be/eWhf-GHqguQ

  8. Vector vs Raster, Resolution, and Scaling

Very impressive, but in a word "goobledegook", I'm sure the lay person would find my explanation more useful, and it's accurate, not precise but for practical purposes completely accurate, and I stand by it. Your goal seems less to be helpful and more to try and humiliate. Enjoy Yourself.
  9. Vector vs Raster, Resolution, and Scaling

Too long, I get the point. It was originally 4 short videos I think you can tell by the breaks. I think I should revisit post and break them up. Thanks for the input

  12. Vector vs Raster, Resolution, and Scaling

short version Thanks for the input Yes, it's long but my goal was to give a comprehensive definition, I used to display a short version for 5 years I ran this one, http://www.rocketbanner.com/raster-vector.htm at 2 minutes it goes fast but left a whole lot of unanswered questions.
  13. Vector vs Raster, Resolution, and Scaling

I get a lot of clients sending really bad artwork so I try and clear up the confusion about vector vs raster graphics as well as how resolution relates graphics files, and I talk about scaling an image. http://youtu.be/A1-oW3Ws1vk
  14. Take Up Reel Necessary?

Personally I always Use it I always have rather long banner runs and must use a take up reel. I have a good tip regarding the take up reel BTW. I'm not sure if this is done commonly or not but it was never mentioned to me when my Roland Rep demo'd the printer. Add about 6 feet of banner...
  15. shopping for new printer

My recommendation is learn to work on your own machine if you at all can. They are not very complicated when you get into them. I was lucky. I was talked into trying the 11-10 inks from Grimco, sort of a dummy test case for them and they promised to fix anything that went wrong with my...
  16. Solaris Inks - weigh your 440 cartridges

I like the idea of bulk inks but have never had luck with 3rd party inks so I'm sticking with OEMs for the time being. Thanks though.
  17. Solaris Inks Anyone?

I had a bad experience with these inks. Also, when I tried to return the unused portion and get a refund I was refused even though they told me if I did not like them I could return the unused ink for a refund. They short the inks in the cartridges by anywhere from 50-80mls, I also blew a...
  18. Solaris Inks Anyone?

Yeah, that's wrong...I have found that they actually short you on inks.
  19. Solaris Inks - weigh your 440 cartridges

I had to pay $1050 for that one cause i needed it that day, but I normally buy DX4 print heads from China for $650 You're right...stick with OEMs...this is my 4th foray into the world of 3rd party inks, not worth it.
