I had the same problem with my ValueJet 1204. I was told that it was a firmware issue so I downloaded new firmware, and it fixed my problem. I know Microsoft creates a lot of problems when they do upgrade for security items or whatever.

To avoid the strands of fiber I take a torch and just wave it across the end of the roll of scrim banner and burn off all the strands. Don't hold it there to burn the banner material.

Why would the Mfg approve someone's else ink when they can make you use their's. Just put in the original ink before calling for warranty. I have less problems with Lyson than Oem and they will warranty if the ink is the problem. Its not like using nitro, its like using Shell or Hess in your car...

Lyson 2100 ink I have been using Lyson inks for a few months. I have less clogs with them as I had with oem cartridges. The chips are on the cartridges just like the oem. They print like the oem.

That is the setup for the whole printer. Such as head settings, motherboard settings. The menu is Servo1:240cps cw. There are other settings such as Proportional gain, Integral gain, Low-pass filter, PWM scale. I copied all these down for my printer.

I was told that there is a way to modify the Valuejet 1204. The kit cost about $400 dollars and then you can use ink cartrages without chip. I think it was from Jet Best ink.
