Just get the black vinyl, much cheaper and easier.

I'm trying to print a large area of solid colour (a light pink) and I'm getting lines on the print from the pinch rollers. (JV33) What's the likely cause of this?

It's usually a RIP problem, i.e we have Shiraz/JV33 which has had those streaky problems with gradients whereas Rasterlink will print the same file perfectly.

The Oracal is likely to be the same as the other polyester chromes already out there by the likes of KPMF.

A fitter we use is doing an Aston Martin in chrome tomorrow so I'll let you know what vinyl is used.

I'm pretty sure Totally Dynamic use the 3M chrome. There are no special 'wrap' chromes. You just have to be a skilled fitter and do lots of joins.

It's about £22k in the UK. So probably $40k. Apparently there is no need for drying time at all with these machines. Straight off the printer and onto the laminator.

Is anyone having problems printing smooth gradients on the JV33? We are getting lots of stepping which looks really poor. Rip is Shiraz.

There is another carbon fibre material made by the Italian company APA, cast and available in 1520mm. We used it on a 5 series BMW roof and it was pretty good. Not sure how much it would be to ship to the US.
