They also did a quick change on getting rid of Control Panel this week. I suspect a lot of the reports about addition/removal of features come from the people that are beta testing and someone at MS is spitballing ideas in those.
I know that 3M historically invented a lot of the vinyl products we use. But in my experience, the 3M products have been inferior, whether cut vinyl 30 years ago and now, or print media. Especially their calendared materials.
I feel that cast is probably overkill given the longevity of the ink. I think our printed faces with the MPI2050 are lasting as long as flex faces we get that are UV printed and have UV coating. Most times the sign face outlives the business itself....
I use an S80600. I use Avery 1105 and have not had any trouble with the ink not drying. I don't use any delay. I don't think the ink will dry when rolled on the takeup reel. But it does dry when I remove it from the takeup roll and stand on end loosely rolled. Prints that fit on the table or...
The problem you're seeing now is the paint on the wall. New paints are made so dirt and stains don't stick for easy cleaning. Problem is vinyl doesn't stick then. You may have to resort to vinyls which are not removable and may tear the surface off the sheetrock or possibly the pain loose from...
Misalignment is the answer. The hard part is figuring out what's misaligned. A cone-shaped takeup reel would also cause it, but I'm not sure how you'd do that.
Avery MPI2050. You can see the printing on the back of the paper liner through the vinyl on the roll.
I've never really researched translucents much, but it's possible there are some that are meant to be used on clear plastic and others that are meant to be used on white plastic. I've never run...
Aqua, I will attest that you aren't crazy. Although I hardly ever paint any more, when I started in this business I did. And we very commonly custom mixed paints for a customer/job and left them in old soup cans or coffee cans to skin over for storage. When you wanted to use them again you cut...
Of course jobs where installation costs a lot are usually for signs installed on or at buildings--which is real estate. And therefore not taxable on sales tax. It becomes part of the real property. But then the materials have to be purchased by the vendor paying sales tax.
White plastic. We have not had any problems with the sign being dim. Not even back when we used fluorescent bulbs. You do have to use translucent white vinyl, not regular sign vinyl.
I don't like doubleprinted. It just comes out wrong during the day, which is when most people see it. We do like White Haus's #2 except we don't put the second print on the back of the face. We print on clear and it goes on the front of the face, then the print on translucent white with...
Your hardware and adhesives have already been taxed when you purchased them. They should be itemized as reimbursement for materials purchased for customer, without sales tax charged by you. The state doesn't get two cuts. If you want to mark them up, charge for the time it took to go buy them...
Isn't that right! My S70670 was a lot worse about that. As soon as you stood up to go load vinyl into it it would start recirculating ink, and you couldn't do anything until it was done.
If you have a Grimco account, any purchase over $100 is free shipping. But they don't sell any 54" 16 oz opaque banner material.
Some banner materials are available in shorter rolls. But not many. Grimco's Duratex Forward 13 oz comes in 115' rolls in all three widths. With free shipping.
