I've actually have been using OpenOffice products from sun microsystems. It has all the capabilities of opening and using microsift office files, and is totally free. you may want to check to see if that might be a better alternative. http://www.openoffice.org
I use flexi and i never use the tracing tools, they are to me worthless, i use the Vector Magic website, it does a better job than flexi ever can.
