This job has taken us a couple of long days to do, the vintage steam engine needed to be finished today because the owner is taking it to a rally tomorrow!! The lining, signwriting and scroll work are all hand painted. Once the boiler is lit it takes 2 hours to get enough pressure in the boiler...
This is one of four glass windows that we reverse gilded with a 'matt and bright' finish for a local funeral service this week. Glass gilding is such a joy to do !!

This sign was for a restaurant in London, a very modern location and they wanted an internal wooden sign that looked old and battered so we hand painted the wording then applied a crackle glaze and finished off with a sander to give it that old, worn appearance, worked well and looked great.
Luckily this boat was not in the sea when we were asked to put her name on both sides and the wheel house, hand painted in dark green with a metalic gold shade.
We designed and goldleaf gilded this mock up label design for a scottish whisky distillery, in the photo the bottle is actually filled with cold tea to represent the 18 year old brew.
