  1. JV-33 out of date inks

Hi Craig, I'm pretty sure the inks can perform as good as new even six months after the expiry date. Mimaki invests a lot of money in mechanisms for controlling the ink comsumption, expiry date, aftermarket inks. Only if they would invest the same money in perfecting the million bugs their...
  2. JV-33 out of date inks

Call Mimaki???? LOL I don't know if it's possible for JV5-33, but for JV3 there's a way to make the machine ignore the cartridge chips, setting some parameters to zero. I think for the JV5 or JV33 it's the same. The problem is, where to find what parameter to touch. I also have a JV5 and have...
  3. JV33 Printhead, suitable for JV5?

Thanks Jan!!! That's exactly the kind of info I was looking for. So if I've understood correctly, if it's an ORIGINAL JV33 printhead, I can put it on the JV5 and it will work? I've tried in the past with an epson 4800 printhead with a solvent head adapter, and as you point, the machine...
  4. JV33 Printhead, suitable for JV5?

Sorry if I'm really boring with this matter, but, the european dealers insist on both printheads are different. The JV5 doesn't recognize a JV33 printhead. Please please, anybody who has done the change???
  5. JV33 Printhead, suitable for JV5?

Sorry FieldCenter if I sounded too rude, but as you know, last times, there's a lot of misunderstandings with Asia-coming spare parts and that's what I understood. Regards, Robert.
  6. Why disconnect JV5 printhead heaters?

me again. I've seen several technicians who disconnect the JV5 printheads heaters, because it's supposed to be better for the ink performance. Any have seen something like this? PS: MimakiTech24, do you have any info regarding this, and compatibility between JV5-JV33 printheads? Thanks to all...
  7. JV33 Printhead, suitable for JV5?

Hi wait, the Epson 10000 printhead isn't the JV3 or Roland printhead aka DX4??? My friend, the JV5 printhead is DX5-based, as the JV33 is. Scott, if you buy those printheads from Southern California, I'd pay with any kind of escrow till you open the printhead and attach the cable and see no...
  8. JV33 Printhead, suitable for JV5?

Sorry,I forgot I asked the same time ago, but really I need to know if any of you has put it into JV5. I don't want to waste my money if I'm not sure they're suitable. Hi Case, you seem to be very sure of this. Have you done it? Please tell me about. As always, thanks for your valuable help.
  9. JV33 Printhead, suitable for JV5?

Dear Fellows, I've heard all kind of things regarding this. Some people say that it's exaclty the same, some people say they're different printheads. The fact is the JV33 cost exactly half the price of the JV5 printhead in Europe. Anybody did try it?
  10. Is there a way to emulate mutoh weaving on a JV5?

I think it's a matter of software. Maybe drivers, maybe RIP. Anybody has some info about? Thanks and best regards. Robert.
  11. *Urgent* - Need to trick a Jv5 into thinking it has all full carts....

Thank you ScottJ!! Really there are lots of parameters in the JV5 Maintenance menu that I'd like to know what are they for.
  12. *Urgent* - Need to trick a Jv5 into thinking it has all full carts....

Anyway, if you cannot find cartridges today, WITH THE MACHINE UNPLUGGED, you'll have to move manually the capping station. it have an screw. If you turn it several times, you'll get down the capping station, freeing the printheads. Then fill the capping stations with cleaning fluid and return...
  13. SP-540V blowns mainboard fuse constantly

Dear Scott, tomorrow I'll try to post one photo of the location of the Fuses. You only have to disconnect your machine from current supply, open the back cover and test continuity with a polymeter.
  14. Anyone here have the Jv5? Thoughts on it?

Dear MimakiTech, I didn't buy my JV5 in China neither I bought from the cheapest dealer. My machine came from DigiDelta, that's the only official way to buy one JV5 in Spain or Portugal. It's supposed that they supply the technical support. Well, taking account they never came to my facilities...
  15. SP-540V blowns mainboard fuse constantly

The short was in one printhead which suffered some water spill. Even when I dried the printhead it also remained making short-circuit. That's what confused me. I thought the printhead was ok when dried, so, when it was wet it damaged the mainboard. But not, I put a new printhead and the radio...
  16. Anyone here have the Jv5? Thoughts on it?

Please MimakiTech, could you elaborate a little more about what's an FCO? I need to know it because my JV5 was installed in november last year. I received an upgrade for some pieces just behind the cartridges, but from a third party technician. I'd like to know how to ask it to Digidelta. I...
  17. Sp-540 Help!!!

Empty? you have a new cartridge and the line is empty? Have you taken off the residual tube and sucked with the syringe?
  18. Sp-540 Help!!!

Printing with the line dry can ruin the printhead, I would take the tube which goes from the capping to the pump and would suck with a syringe until you see magenta in the syringe.
  19. Anyone here have the Jv5? Thoughts on it?

Nope, I've also heard horror stories about the JV33. Better you could buy a Roland or if you have the knowledge and a near and reliable technical support, a JV5. I'm sure that my only problems with the JV5 are due to the lack of warranty and technical support in Spain. When it runs it's a fast...
