Anybody know of a font pretty close to this? I believe it's a handheld router jig sign-making font. I'd like to match it with a computerized font rather than draw it by hand.
Anybody recognize this font? I had it in 2007, but somehow lost it between then & now. It's similar to Playbill & Branding Iron, but not close enough.
Thanks!
Chris
I ended up getting pre-made 24 gauge blanks and laminated 2 together with VHB double sided tape. They're plenty rigid, customer approved, and within budget. I'm 99% sure they'll hold up... Time will tell...

Does anybody here have a source for 0.040" to 0.063' thick steel sign blanks? I need 4-6 of them at 18" x 24".
They have to be steel, they have to be at least .040" thick, but could be up to .063" or so. Radiused corners would be great. A factory applied white finish would be helpful, but I...
I use .150" sign grade translucent white polycarbonate on my 4' x 16' work table. I've had the same piece for 15+ years. It's been flipped and rotated. I figure it's got at least another 5 years in it.

Thanks for the help on this. There are some good ideas in there.
I'm looking for a waterborne coating solution in this instance. I'm tired of the cleanup associated with oil & solvent paints. I can't justify an automotive type water based system for my small shop. I may need to use this type...
I'm sure enough that anything with latex, or some similar plasticizer won't work for long term vinyl stickage. I have used their DTM paint before, and completely forgot about it for this use. It's 100% acrylic, so it might work. I will check it out.
Thanks!

I've used Mathews with poor results. It's chalked in only about 5 years, and it's solvent based, so that doesn't fit my water based desire. I've had the best luck with vinyl sticking to Sherwin Williams Super Paint, but it's not great where I am because it can go from -30 F in the Winter to +90...
I use exterior latex paints when I can for outdoor signage that require paint. They work better than any other paint I've found, but won't work when vinyl film needs to be used on a painted sign. Oil based sign paints are messy to clean up, and they chalk way too soon.
I've used Ronan's...
You know how you look at a word for 10 minutes while looking for the perfect font... Fork? What does Fork even mean? Fork. Fork. Fork. Fork. Is that even a real word?!
In 21 years of "professional" sign work, only once did a misspelled (typo) word make it to a sign. That's not too bad, is...
I've thought about this long enough that my brain locked up on it.
"E.P. & RMNP Welcome John Doe" or "E.P. & RMNP Welcomes John Doe"
"Welcome" (not plural) seemed correct until I started thinking about it, but since trying to make sure it was, I'm stuck. :banghead:
Any suggestions for...
