  1. Can't quite get this one

I use Flexi 11, so Find My Font isn't built in.. But I bought it. I don't know why it didn't find Verdana... It's usually very good.
  2. Can't quite get this one

I posted in appreciation, but in case you can't see that... Thanks again, Mr. Visable! You and Dunca are correct. :) ~Chris
  3. Can't quite get this one

Verdana Bold it is.... Thanks! Chris
  4. Can't quite get this one

Even with my paid font app, I can't get as close as I want to. Any ideas?
  5. Any ideas on this one?

Anybody know of a font pretty close to this? I believe it's a handheld router jig sign-making font. I'd like to match it with a computerized font rather than draw it by hand.
  6. Anybody recognize this one?

Thanks, Mark. That's close enough. Chris
  7. Anybody recognize this one?

Anybody recognize this font? I had it in 2007, but somehow lost it between then & now. It's similar to Playbill & Branding Iron, but not close enough. Thanks! Chris
  8. I need some help locating steel sign blanks

I ended up getting pre-made 24 gauge blanks and laminated 2 together with VHB double sided tape. They're plenty rigid, customer approved, and within budget. I'm 99% sure they'll hold up... Time will tell... Chris
  9. I need some help locating steel sign blanks

Does anybody here have a source for 0.040" to 0.063' thick steel sign blanks? I need 4-6 of them at 18" x 24". They have to be steel, they have to be at least .040" thick, but could be up to .063" or so. Radiused corners would be great. A factory applied white finish would be helpful, but I...
  10. Looking for waterborne, non-latex, exterior grade, glossy paints

There aren't any BLP distributors in my area.... Their waterborne paint has latex in it, so it wouldn't work anyway. Chris
  11. Work tabletop Surfaces

I use .150" sign grade translucent white polycarbonate on my 4' x 16' work table. I've had the same piece for 15+ years. It's been flipped and rotated. I figure it's got at least another 5 years in it. Chris
  12. Looking for waterborne, non-latex, exterior grade, glossy paints

Thanks for the help on this. There are some good ideas in there. I'm looking for a waterborne coating solution in this instance. I'm tired of the cleanup associated with oil & solvent paints. I can't justify an automotive type water based system for my small shop. I may need to use this type...
  13. Looking for waterborne, non-latex, exterior grade, glossy paints

I'm sure enough that anything with latex, or some similar plasticizer won't work for long term vinyl stickage. I have used their DTM paint before, and completely forgot about it for this use. It's 100% acrylic, so it might work. I will check it out. Thanks! Chris
  14. Looking for waterborne, non-latex, exterior grade, glossy paints

It'd be nice to be set up with a spray booth and all the bases & clears & colors for that, but it's not the answer for my small shop. Chris
  15. Looking for waterborne, non-latex, exterior grade, glossy paints

I've used Mathews with poor results. It's chalked in only about 5 years, and it's solvent based, so that doesn't fit my water based desire. I've had the best luck with vinyl sticking to Sherwin Williams Super Paint, but it's not great where I am because it can go from -30 F in the Winter to +90...
  16. Looking for waterborne, non-latex, exterior grade, glossy paints

I use exterior latex paints when I can for outdoor signage that require paint. They work better than any other paint I've found, but won't work when vinyl film needs to be used on a painted sign. Oil based sign paints are messy to clean up, and they chalk way too soon. I've used Ronan's...
  17. Programs

I use FlexiExpert 11 for 99.5% of my design work & to drive my Summa vinyl cutter. I use Vectric VCarve Pro 8 for my CNC router tool pathing. Chris
  18. Welcome or Welcomes???

You know how you look at a word for 10 minutes while looking for the perfect font... Fork? What does Fork even mean? Fork. Fork. Fork. Fork. Is that even a real word?! In 21 years of "professional" sign work, only once did a misspelled (typo) word make it to a sign. That's not too bad, is...
  19. Welcome or Welcomes???

Thanks for the confirmation... "Welcome" it is!:thumb: Chris
  20. Welcome or Welcomes???

I've thought about this long enough that my brain locked up on it. "E.P. & RMNP Welcome John Doe" or "E.P. & RMNP Welcomes John Doe" "Welcome" (not plural) seemed correct until I started thinking about it, but since trying to make sure it was, I'm stuck. :banghead: Any suggestions for...
